I am a Master’s-level Registered Psychologist with specialized training in addictions, trauma, and CBT approaches to therapy. I am passionate about working with people who find themselves wanting to make changes but are feeling stuck or unsure how to proceed. My primary goal in my therapeutic work is to support and help people to become their best selves. Whether it be to increase self-esteem, work through issues from their past, or overcome a bad habit or addiction, I strive to help my clients make meaningful changes. I have 10 years of experience in working with addictions and trauma, and I am comfortable working with individuals in various stages of readiness to change. Regardless of where my clients are in their change process, my work focuses on working collaboratively with them towards living a more confident and satisfying life. If you think you are ready to take the first step towards a positive change, I welcome you to take that step with me.
I work from evidence based approaches to help my clients tap into their strengths and resources in order to manage symptoms, overcome adversity and live meaningful, authentic and valued lives. I am proud to offer a safe and confidential space for diverse individuals including sexual and gender minorities (LGBTQ2S+), as well as individuals from various religious and cultural backgrounds. I work with concerns related to emotional difficulties, depression & anxiety, stress, trauma, self-esteem, interpersonal concerns, and issues around sexual orientation and gender identity/gender expression. I have been practicing in the field of psychotherapy and mental health for the past 8 years, and am trained and experienced in various psychotherapy models. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic pain with children and adults. I believe that I am unconditionally accepting, non-judgmental, easily approachable, dedicated, and compassionate. To me, therapy is all about engaging with you in a shared process to work through any barriers you may be facing. Every person’s life is complex and unique, and I believe therapy should reflect the same: personal and unique. It is very important to me that therapy is based on trust so that you feel safe and empowered. Reaching out takes a great deal of courage and is the first step towards personal growth. I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you and support you through any challenges or barriers you may be facing. I’d be more than happy to meet with you for a free consultation to get to know one another better and discuss what you would like to work towards.
